Terms and Conditions

Deposits and Cancellations
 
  • Deposit is due upon booking. Your hunt is not booked until we receive your deposit! We will not hold spots without a deposit.

  • Initial deposit is non-refundable.

  • Full balance is due 30 days before the date of your hunt.

  • Refund of any payments made after initial deposit will be given on a case-by-case basis, and only if cancellation is made at least 6 months prior to the hunt date.

  • Cancellation of trip must be in writing. THIS DOES NOT MEAN AN E-MAIL. Our address is listed on the contact page.

  • We understand that things happen – emergencies, etc. If we are able to rebook your slot at full price, refund of any payments after initial deposit MAY be considered. "Emergency" does not encompass fear of viruses, etc. If you're cancelling because you're scared to travel, you're outta luck.

Alcohol and Illegal Substance Policies
 

We do not provide alcohol to our clients at any time. Should you wish to purchase your own alcoholic beverages, we ask you to drink responsibly. We WILL NOT take you hunting, horseback, on/in motorized vehicles, snowmobiles, etc. if you are intoxicated. CDO is a family-run business, and we will not tolerate intoxication and/or inappropriate behavior (cursing, crude humor, etc.) around our children. Continental Divide Outfitters is not responsible for your actions if you are intoxicated, and you will be held solely responsible for any damages to your person, your property, our property, etc. We DO NOT permit illegal substances of ANY kind on CDO property. Any violation of CDO's alcohol or illegal substance policies will be grounds for immediate termination of the hunt.

More Terms... PLEASE READ
 
  • Our terrain is extremely steep and rugged. If you are not in decent shape, this is probably not the hunt for you. We care about our clients' success, and your odds decrease drastically if you aren't able to get around well.

  • We have a strict weight limit policy. We cannot safely accommodate anyone weighing over 250 pounds. We do not have horses and equipment capable of carrying/supporting a person over 250lbs safely. 

  • Included in the price of your hunt: guide services, transportation during the hunt, meals, lodging, and pack out of meat. License fees, tag fees, and any other fees or taxes are not included in the hunt price.  

  • We will not process your meat for you, and we will not ship your meat to you. You must make all arrangements for processing and shipment of meat before departure from CDO. 

  • You must make arrangements for shipment of any capes/hides before departure from CDO. We will not ship your cape/hide for you. If you do not make the necessary arrangements before leaving CDO, your cape/hide will be thrown away or given to a local taxidermist.

  • You gear is your responsibility! If you leave it here, we will drop it off at our convenience in Salmon at Bri-Easy Shipping and you can make arrangements with them to get it back to you via UPS or Fed-Ex. If it is the middle of hunting season, it may take us awhile to get it into town. Ever heard the phrase "Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine"? Please double check that you have all your gear before leaving!

  • The “start date” of your hunt is the day you actually begin hunting. The “end date” is the last day of your hunt.
    - For bear hunters, you will begin hunting the day you arrive at CDO. Should you arrive at CDO before the start date of your hunt, lodging and meals will not be provided until the hunt start date on page 1 of your contract.
    - For Elk hunters, Deer hunters, Lion hunters, and Wolf hunters – you will need to arrive the day before your hunt begins.

  • Gratuities are not included in the cost of your hunt. If you have a guide other than Caleb, we expect you to tip them at least the current industry standard of 10% of the hunt price.

  • Transportation to and from the airport is NOT included in the cost of your hunt – CDO does not offer pick-up or drop-off services at this time. You will need to make arrangements for a rental car to get to and from CDO. There are multiple Uber drivers that come to CDO from Missoula. Call us for info.

  • WOUNDED GAME POLICY: IF YOU WOUND AN ANIMAL AND WE ARE UNABLE TO RECOVER IT DUE TO A POOR SHOT, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO TAKE ANOTHER SHOT AT A DIFFERENT ANIMAL. If you miss clean, you may continue to hunt. This will be at your guide's discretion.

We make no guarantees of success, quality or quantity of any game that may result from any activity. However, we will do our best to provide you with a quality hunt and a trophy you will be proud of!
